12. SMS and Email Communications

12.1 Consent to Communications

By creating an account, verifying your phone number, joining our waitlist, or otherwise providing your phone number and/or email address to Sonaara, you expressly consent to receive communications from us via SMS (text messages), push notifications, and email. These communications may include:

  • Transactional Messages: Account verification codes, security alerts, password resets, account status updates, safety notifications, and other messages necessary for the operation of your account
  • Informational Messages: Profile completion reminders, feature announcements, app updates, platform improvements, and service-related notifications
  • Marketing Messages: Promotional offers, event invitations, special announcements, tips for using the platform, and other marketing communications (subject to your preferences)
  • Community Updates: Information about new users in your area, activity updates, connection opportunities, and community-related notifications

12.2 SMS Terms and Conditions

When you opt in to receive SMS messages from Sonaara, you agree to the following:

  • You consent to receive automated text messages from Sonaara to the mobile phone number you provided
  • Consent is not a condition of purchase or use of our Services
  • Message frequency varies and depends on your account activity and preferences
  • Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier's plan
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages
  • We may use automated technology to send messages
  • You represent that you are the authorized user of the phone number provided

12.3 Opt-Out Rights

You may opt out of receiving communications at any time:

  • SMS: Reply STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT to any SMS message from Sonaara to opt out of SMS messages. You will receive a confirmation message. You may also adjust your SMS preferences in your account settings.
  • Email: Click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email, or adjust your email preferences in your account settings.
  • Push Notifications: Disable push notifications through your device settings or within the app settings.

Note: Even if you opt out of marketing communications, you may still receive essential transactional messages related to your account, such as security alerts and account verification codes, as these are necessary for the operation of the Services.

12.4 Help and Support

For SMS help, reply HELP to any message or contact us at info@sonaara.com. For general support or to request removal from our communications lists, you may contact us at the same email address.

12.5 Changes to Phone Number or Email

You are responsible for updating your contact information in your account settings. If you change your phone number or email address, you must update this information promptly to ensure you continue to receive important account-related communications and to prevent messages from being sent to the wrong recipient.
